Book Reviews
From the first pages of They Came to Dinner, I was hooked. I read the book in its entirety in 2 days. I really enjoyed how Jane described each character and how each was inter connected with the other characters. I could almost see each character squirming in their seats in the living room of Marjorie and Mike's home. Each character had their own unique personalities and reading how the plot unfolded, held my interest until the last chapter. I couldn't wait to read the next book to see what lay ahead for each of the characters.

I was happy to curl up in my recliner with a cup of coffee and read After Dinner. The follow up book to, They Came to Dinner. I was not disappointed. Sandra Jane kept me absorbed from beginning to end. When tragedy came upon one of the characters, I was shocked. I didn't expect it, and that's what I liked. The story was not predictable... it kept me interested. I had no idea where each of the characters would end up. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the book from beginning to end. I really had to keep from turning to the last chapter to see how each of the characters would fare. I look forward to reading more of Sandra Jane's books.

My husband and I had just moved into our new home and my kitchen was sitting in boxes on the floor when I was introduced to Sandra Jane's first novel "They Came to Dinner" I found the cover interesting, picked it up and started reading. That was after work on Friday afternoon. I didn't put it down until I was finished Sunday afternoon. I loved that book. It was very entertaining and I can't wait for the sequel. B Beagle
I have read the novel " They Came to Dinner" by first time novelist, Sandra Jane. It was an impressive, vast web of interesting characterizations and the intriguing emotional stories that connect them. The author's depiction of their relationships, accomplishments and journeys are like a "connect the dots" or puzzle where you want to continue and fit in one more piece.
I am looking forward to continuing the journey of these many character.

"They Came to Dinner" presents the reader with an interesting cast of characters. Each one has a unique personality; some are very transparent while others secretive and guarded. Initially the characters appear distant, unrelated and with few connections to one another but as the novel unfolds Sandra Jane cleverly adds threads of insight to their lives that weave an ever increasing sense of association.
It is a novel that calls you to expect the unexpected and then delight in a fast paced "cracker jack" conclusion.
Don't put away pen Sandra, the readers will be looking for the exciting sequel. BA.
